ABOUT STEVE

Image of Steve Borgess in a brown leather jacket smiling at the camera

Steve Borgess is a retired captain with a major international airline. During his flying career, he served as a check airman and an FAA Air Crew Program-designated pilot examiner for the Boeing 727, as well as a chief pilot and FAA ATP-designated pilot examiner for Lear Jets and the Falcon 20.

In 1978, he flew the Hajj for an airline even more disreputable than the one in his story. Flying Crooked was inspired by that experience.

Steve's articles on pilot training have been published in Flight Deck magazine. He currently resides and writes on the Eastern Shore of Virginia.
